Summer Backlog Attack 2012, Week 1

Summer Backlog Attack 2012, Week 1

As you already know if you’ve checked out Episode 59, we’re launching an all-out attack on our backlogs as we get into the middle of summer. We even came up with a ridiculous name for it, and I figured, while we’re at it, let’s have a huge leaderboard graphic, too. So now, here we are.

If you haven’t listened to the show yet, we’ve basically said enough is enough, singled out six (or seven!) games from our ever-growing piles of shame, and committed to finishing them all by some as-of-yet-unspecified date. (We like to be committed, but not too committed.) I’m thinking a vague “Fall” deadline works. The first one to finish doesn’t win anything save for a sense of accomplishment and the rights to lord it over the other hosts’ heads, and you better believe there’s going to be some serious lording.

Anyway, we’ll be keeping our progress updated here as the summer rolls on, as well as checking in every week on the show not just with updates, but with thoughts and impressions on these games we’ve always wanted to play! Be sure to tune in this Thursday to see how we’re doing.

Until then, how is your summer gaming going? Do you have some new stuff to keep you busy or are you making a dent in your own backlog? Let us know in the comments!

I think Paul and DJ have the easiest backlogs, my advice play the short games first and try to avoid the lengthy time sucking rpgs. Im curious to hear what Randy has to say about Outland! Keep up the good work!

6/7 games? Talking DIsc and DLC, I’d say I have about 30 maybe? XD
