Don’t agree with DJ. Demon’s Souls was too hard to really enjoy, which is a shame because the game looks like it would be awesome. I played a few hours worth of gameplay and in the end the difficulty just killed it for me.

Hey Paul or Randy I got a cheap copy of Demon’s Souls if you guys want to try (die) it.

I’m more for games with auto-saves/frequent checkpoints. And it’s not because I hate hard games I’ve loved stuff like Battletoads, Wipeout, Metal Slug, Hard Corps … I just really hate losing hours of gameplay for bullshit reasons.

Yeah but even Monster Hunter isn’t that difficult. It prompts you to save after every quest. Not all quests are hard monsters either. There are the easy gathering quests and the small monster quests. There is a difficulty curve, unlike Demon’s Souls which drops you into the middle of a bull fight and says run bitch!

Demons Souls was the biggest waste of $50 I have ever made. Did anyone catch the free sh1t show last week (episode 15). Chris makes a few Dark Souls comments, so funny and so true. Screw Dark Souls, I would rather put my money into Skyrim, which I’ll likely invest a few hundred hours into and never finish because it’s so large (but at least I won’t be pulling my hair out over it).

My biggest gripe about Demon’s Souls was that it lacks a pause function. Devs need to realize that they can either have punishing gameplay/save systems OR no pause button, but not both.

Gotta agree with Matt, most of us have crazy schedules as it is. I dont have time to plod through a tough game. How about they charge $30 and let me skip to the end?
