VGH #47: Vegetable-Based Objectives

Oh, Mass Effect 3…where did it all go wrong? Inspired by Bioware’s recent debacle, we’re seizing the opportunity this week to discuss video game endings: the ones that got it right and the ones that missed the mark. Also: Mulchers, hand cramps, vagina monsters, generic white men, and the importance of carrying enough arrows.

In the Hangover: Paul is having fun losing with Dark Souls, D.J. addresses some concerns with the Starhawk beta, and Randy la-la-la-la-loves Gears of War 3.

For our Last Call this week, we shine a light on our killer new theme music from Shane Reaction: Zombieland.

    If I may place an idea for lack luster endings, I know you guys played Uncharted 3, and in my opinion, the ending was altogether disappointing, while the story part of it was alright, the gameplay of it left alot to be desired. I mean who wants to have a final boss fight in an all out third person shooter with awesome parkour where it is all quick time events with the CO-VILLAIN!!! All I wanted to say, love the game, especially multiplayer, but hated the ending. Thanks for reading this and I love the podcast.

    Hey again guys!! OK!  i,m going to pick a random good ending and bad ending because i have so many! 
    Best ending: Chrono Trigger was one of my best endings. Seeing all the characters go back to their own time had me teary eyed and was heart breaking, but after seeing the scenes of how happily the characters lived during the credits, i felt tremendously accomplished.
    Good ending: Resident Evil Zero-  After you part ways with Billy coen, rebecca chambers  mentions she has to go meet up with her team members at the mansion…….were RE1 starts……very chilling!!!!!
    Bad ending- Matrix The path of neo- The final boss fight was terrible and then they used the ending scene from the final matrix movie and played “Queen- we are the champions” for the ending theme……..worst ending ever…….(nothing against queen though)
